Lecture: William Law – Master Mystic
September 23 @ 8:00 pm – 9:30 pm
William Law (1686 – 1761) was a Church of England curate who lost his academic position and standing when he refused the oath of allegiance to the first Hanoverian (German) monarch, King George I. Law’s personal integrity, as well as his mystic and theological writing greatly influenced the evangelical movement of his day as well as Enlightenment thinkers. This is the fourth lecture in the series Great Mystics and their Heritage.
Dr. Hoeller has presented weekly lectures for more than 30 years, and continues to impart valuable and unique insights on Gnosticism, C. G. Jung, mysticism, magic, alchemy and subjects relating to wisdom in culture and history.
Lectures are sponsored in part by the Theosophical Society – Besant Lodge of Hollywood.
Due to unpredictable government restrictions imposed upon religious practice, first-time attendees are advised to call (323) 467-2685 in advance.
