Lecture: The Myth of Gnosis

Having remote and ancient origins, the practice and theory of Gnosis culminated in the Gnostic and Hermetic traditions of the first centuries of the Christian era (Late Antiquity). This lecture will examine the early myths of Sophia and of the Logos, as well as the lives and work of Simon Magus and the Prophet Mani.
This is the first lecture in the series The Esoteric Myth.
Dr. Hoeller has presented weekly lectures for more than 30 years, and continues to impart valuable and unique insights on Gnosticism, C. G. Jung, mysticism, magic, alchemy and subjects relating to wisdom in culture and history.
