Understanding and Interpreting Dreams

The five-book Greek treatise Oneirocritica (The Interpretation of Dreams), written in the 2nd century AD by Artemidorus, is a manual on dreams, their classification, and interpretive tools. Dr Hoeller resumes the lecture series interrupted in March with an examination of the recently published book An Ancient Dream Manual, edited by scholars Peter Thonemann and Martin Hammond, giving new insights into Artemidorus’ work.
